ICONIC LONDON

If you look on Instagram or anywhere on social media more and more popular MUA's and celebs are using this newer brand of cosmetics. Founded by Jade Elliott in 2015 this now "ICONIC" brand a year later is everywhere and rising. So I HAD to purchase the cream contour kit and the contour EVO brush set, which I ordered them separate but thankfully didn't have to wait long at all! So my first impressions…

Pricing

There are tons of Contour Palettes out there and prices can get high, that plus shipping prices and if necessary customs costs. So I was happy with the contour kit which went at £32.99 converted to AUD at $55.64 now my EVO brushes went at £42.99 converted again to AUD was $72.50. For these brushes and not the other more expensive kinds (which range from $165-$335 depending on sets) these are so much more affordable and work well. Plus if you sign up you will be given a 10% off code which you can use to basically cover shipping costs.

Delivery

I now live in Australia and the delivery from the UK to my doorstep was ridiculously fast the contour kit I ordered on a Friday came the following Tuesday. As for my brushes I ordered them that Tuesday night and came to me Friday. Great service if you ask me! The Packaging The contour palette comes in a little black box with the Iconic label on it, inside the case is sleek and black, again with the iconic label on top. Inside they provide a massive mirror on the top part of the case which I think is perfect for traveling and doing makeup on the go, then they have the six light shades on top and the darker ones along the bottom. The EVO contour brush set comes in a black box, with the Iconic name in rose gold the four brushes are standing up once you slide the top of the box off. The packaging all together is very sleek. First look at the brushes they’re adorable! They have a cone shaped end that is matte black with the brand name along the side in rose gold as well. The bristles of the brushes are so soft, very dense and feel great on my skin.

The Product The contour palette here I've swatched the shades on my arm, the feel of the creams is really buttery-like and when swatching the product goes one easy and so smooth. I tried blending some together with a beauty blender and the end product turned out so natural. Now using the EVO brushes to put the creams on was different then any brushes I've used the only thing I’d say negative would be I’d have to get used to holding these brushes but that's not really negative it’s just something I’ll learn to adapt to. The brushes pick up quite a bit of product so I didn’t have to use to much of the palette itself. Honestly I found the brushes just glided on when you went to contour. Now blending I wasn't sure how to go about this because I’ve always been religious to using a beauty blender, But I just went in and did circular motions, buffed it out and I’m happy to say that these brushes blend the product really well. I read some reviews said that the brushes leave it streaky and maybe it was the foundation I used for my base but I didn’t seem to have this problem at all.

Final Thoughts

I can honestly say that I am excited to be using these product for my everyday makeup routines especially if I don't use the contour kit everyday I can certainly use the brushes. Like I said earlier the only negative I have is learning how to hold the brushes and really finding the right techniques to blend the creams out which will come in time. So to my friends in Canada and to my fellow viewers from all over I highly recommend these products, I plan on doing some more shopping and trying out the strobing and foundation sticks soon!

* I have added links to these products! Hope you enjoyed my first product review, I will be uploading more pictures to my gallery with full faced makeup done so you can have a look at how everything blended together. I hope you give ICONIC LONDON a try just like I did! Cheers xx
